New Android Botnet Targeting Android Set-Top Boxes

Security company WootCloud has uncovered a bot net, Ares ADB Botnet. Researchers at the company found this botnet from suspicious behavior on Android Set-Top Boxes, which are used for streaming media from services such as Netflix. In a classic case of botnets, Ares uses misconfigured interfaces on these Set-Top Boxes to gain full control of the device.

Apple Changes Policies on Siri

After Apple was found to be somewhat wanting on their policies around their Siri voice service, Apple have now made some changes. Users of the service will not have the opt in to what they term their "grading" service. This is basically where a human manually listens to the audio recording to help improve the accuracy of the service. Additionally only Apple employees with be the ones listening to the recording.
